Written Confession: "Are They Dead?"

I’m honestly at such a loss for what’s happening and was hoping someone may know what this is. Also, I’m not sure if this is the appropriate flare so I apologize if it’s not.

I currently have an apartment with another family member and we have lived here for about a year now. We noticed some weird noises when we first moved in but put it down to the thin walls. We consistently had an eerie feeling about the place but we ignored it til now.

Starting in July the family member I reside with told me she saw a man in the kitchen. After this she also told me she heard laughing and humming at odd hours of the night.

I hadn’t had my own experiences til about mid August when I saw a figure in the kitchen but it disappeared quickly. 2 nights ago I heard this weird music.. the kind you hear with those wind up music boxes. It went on from 2am til I fell asleep.

Last night we had our first shared experience that was enough to really make me think we have something in our home. Around 4am a girls voice spoke “Are they dead?” I stayed completely still thinking maybe someone broke in (as I’d just woken up before she spoke) my family member coughed and then there was nothing else after that. We both heard it and thought maybe we were both hearing things but my cat wouldn’t stop looking in the spot where we heard the voice.

I honestly don’t know what to think and am really hoping someone can enlighten me, we’re both really spooked.
