Written Confession: The Pied Piper of Long Island - A Strange Encounter at the Park
The following written confession was submitted via email:
I don’t know why I’m writing to you. Maybe it’s just the uneasy feeling that I’ve been left with. So here it is.
Today is March 3rd and it was the first warm and sunny day we’ve had in months here in NY. My wife and I decided it was a perfect day to take our 3 year old to the park. The park was filled with kids and parents.
We were there for just over an hour when a little girl with the palest skin and blonde hair just appeared from nowhere with no parents, holding the creepiest doll. Something about this kid made you feel some kind of way but you didn’t know why. First thing my wife said to me was “what’s with that doll”? The little girl said something to my daughter and then my daughter just started following her around. Within 1 minute she had 6 little kids following her toward where the gate opened to exit the park.
Tony, I think she was a “pied piper” sent to lead the kids away. As soon as we called our daughter’s name that little girl vanished. I mean gone like she was never here. She was never with anyone. I asked my daughter what she said to her and she laughed and said she doesn’t know.
If my daughter wasn’t involved I would have never thought about it again. My wife, who has NO interest in the paranormal, said to me, did we she a witch? We don’t know what to make of it. Keep an eye on your children!
Just as a side note, yes the doll had an old creepy porcelain doll face. This happened on Long Island NY. Right on a lake that people claim to be haunted. I’m beginning to think these local stories have some truth to it….
