I just listened to your episode about Raven Rock and wanted to share an experience of my own...

I'm from PA as well, and my buddies and I were spending a weekend in Gettysburg. We had heard about Raven Rock, and were relatively close by so we figured, what the heck... Let's go see it. At this point we weren't sure what was up there. The road leading up to it is rather plain. We just saw some barbed wire fencing. At this point, my friend snapped a picture from the back seat of the car we were in. We get the top "entrance" and there was a spot labeled "visitor parking" (very misleading lol).

Obviously there was a gate and a concrete slab that would lift up to block vehicles. We got out and read some signs, hopped back in the car and started back down the mountain. About half way down we were stopped by 3-4 black SUVs who pulled across the road and officers got out, guns drawn, and said "TURN THE CAR OFF" which we did immediately. They rush up and the first they say is "Who took the picture?" My friend said he did, they took his camera, deleted everything off of it, and then asked us all about our info, why we were there, etc....

They stood right by the car doors and ran our information for about a half hour before we were cleared to leave. Finally we got the go ahead and they said "Don't stop anywhere, just go right home". They proceeded to follow us for about an hour to make sure we were on our way.

What always blew my mind was that they already knew someone had taken a picture from the back seat of our vehicle about halfway down the mounting, through tinted windows, etc. Their badges did say "Pentagon Security". It was wild and a cool experience.
