Written Confession: A Late Sister's Pre-Death Omen and Post-Death Message

The following written confession was submitted via email:

In 1995/1996, my sister (whom I will keep anonymous) was diagnosed and eventually passed away from stomach/esophageal cancer. She was 39, with 4 young kids.

In the last couple weeks before her death, she would talk frankly with all of us (there were 6 sisters in all), about her immanent death. Her fears, our fears, her heartache, etc. On one of these occasions, she states “I’m ready to die, I’m just scared I’m going to see that black thing again.” I was confused and asked her what she was talking about. Evidently, about 6 or so months before she was even sick or diagnosed, she was up early (like 4:30am, as she worked in a bakery), standing at the counter making her kids lunches for the day. Something made her turn around, and looking at her from the dining room doorway was a small, black figure and she said it was laughing at her. When she started to walk toward it, it ran behind her recliner and when she looked to see it hissed at her and disappeared. Needless to say, I was un nerved from this and asked my other sisters if they ever knew about it. They confirmed that she had told them about it shortly after it happened. Mind you, this happened BEFORE any diagnosis or true illness, so she was not on any pain killers or such at the time.

The day came, 25 years ago to today, when she passed away. That night, around 3-4am, I was awoken by a warm air and the smell of my sister around my face. Though I was Awake, I still had my eyes closed and through the darkness, her image appeared - vivid and beautiful. She told me “I love you and I’m ok”, and with a smile she was gone. All of us sisters had a visit that night to assure us - some a vision, some a touch, some a smell. I knew that black thing didn’t find her again.
