Officials in the Pennsylvania community have reportedly voted down a controversial proposal that would have transformed the notoriously haunted Pennhurst State Hospital property into a massive AI data center. The plan, announced in early 2025, would have allowed the current owners to sell the site to a developer intending to demolish the existing buildings and replace them with a 1.9-million-square-foot facility.
