Happy International Podcast Day! Whether you’re a brand new listener of The Confessionals Podcast or you’ve been with us from the very beginning, we’ve pulled together 10 quintessential TC episodes to entertain you on IPD! (…Although it’s hard to choose just 10, tbh!)

And as an added bonus, all of these episodes have just the right amount of scary and mysterious to kick off October, the spookiest month of the year. Check out our list below (in no particular order), and add your own favorites down in the comments!

1) Episode 335: Dog vs Dogman

The unforgettably traumatic encounter that inspired the Legion of Legends’ documentary Expedition Dogman.

In Episode 335: Dog vs Dogman, we are joined by Kyle who shares the most dramatic dogman experience ever sent to The Confessionals! Kyle was born and raised in Kentucky, and became a coon hunter at a very young age. When he was 15 years old, he and his grandfather set out for a night of hunting raccoons with their dogs Bow and Jake. Little did Kyle know that on this night, his life was going to change forever. The dogs treed a coon when a pack of coyotes moved in to challenge the hunting dogs. There was a strong battle of dominance, and when Kyle finally arrived at the scene he saw Jake standing strong with coyotes on the run. He then heard what he thought was his dog Bow on the other side of a large tree, chomping on a coyote. But, when he circled around to find Bow, he came face to face with a monstrous beast that towered over him. This is where Kyle's life changed forever, as a bloodthirsty dogman took chase after him, and a battle of dog versus dogman took place! Kyle's story of survival truly defied the odds with those two kinds of dogs in the woods that night - one was man's best friend, the other was man's worst nightmare.

A harrowing experience with an unseen terror on the roof in a special Halloween episode.

Happy Halloween! On our Halloween special edition, Episode 95: The Roof Walker, guest Kasey shares some extreme activity she experienced at her home that left her family terrorized! From hearing clawed footsteps walking on her roof, to seeing door knobs turn, to the police running away screaming for her to call a priest... Kasey has one of those stories that will leave your jaw on the floor! Beware of the roof walker!

An episode from our first year with a surprisingly scary story that still haunts our early listeners.

In Episode 19: The Tree Sprite Haunting, Kasey shares her experiences with hauntings throughout her life, which all seem to be related to her mother’s involvement in witchcraft and possession by a demon.

A trippy and terrifying series of run-ins with a mysterious creature out of a science fiction movie.

In Episode 309: The Predator, we talk JR, a former member of a "1%" motorcycle club. After doing something to get himself kicked out of the club, JR started his own burglary gang. Between the club and the gang, he was in deep trouble with the law and found himself on the run, hiding out on a very remote property in southeast Indiana. Although he was given permission to stay on the property, JR was also warned that something was roaming the land... Not paying much mind to that warning, he spent nine months at the location, spending his time looking for old artifacts he could sell for cash. As time went on, JR not only found artifacts, but discovered huge finger bones and oddly placed mounds. And that's where he wishes his discoveries had ended: while out searching, JR also came across a translucent creature he can only describe as "The Predator." During his final encounter with it, he was left so terrified that he decided to head back home, where he was facing prison time, rather than stay one more day in the forest with The Predator!

A child’s chilling experience playing hide-and-seek with a friend who suddenly turned into something else.

On Episode 198: The Evil Nicky, we have a two-guest show with both Perry and Dan joining us! First, we talk to Perry who details a very scary experience he had as a kid playing hide-and-go-seek with friends. He thought he was in the closet with a buddy... but it turned out it was something otherworldly. Then we bring on Dan who is a truck driver and happened to cross paths with a bigfoot one night while out in his rig!

A packed episode with dogmen, portals, UFOs, and the scientific facility that may just connect them all.

In Episode 468: The Oak Ridge Dogman Portals, we bring Adam into the studio! I have made it no secret as of late that I not only believe there is a parallel world like the Upside Down in Stranger Things, I am also on the verge of saying I know it exists and is far more complex and dangerous than the Stranger Things show leads us to think. A few weeks ago, Adam emailed me after hearing me discuss CERN, Oak Ridge, portals in those locations, and entities coming through them. In Adam's email, he said,

"I'm ready to talk about something that happened to me involving Oak Ridge and the undeniable evil demonic entities I know are coming through there. It's a lot to talk about but I'm coming to you because I heard you mention something about the portals there. I can honestly say it's nothing like you've ever heard and it's hard to believe but I swear on my life it's true. That said it directly involves this hell beast called 'Dogman' which I now believe is not from anywhere but another dimension."

With that information, I knew I had to get Adam in the studio as fast as possible to hear what he's been through. Adam experienced an event that lasted three days and traversed multiple locations. One late night when he was fishing near the Oak Ridge facility in Tennessee, he encountered UFOs acting in strange ways that hadn’t yet been heard about on this show. Those UFOs led to him encountering portals, and culminated in a high-speed chase down the highway with creatures trying to push Adam’s car off the road. How Adam survived their attack will leave you on the edge of your seat, as it did me sitting across the table from him!

The episode from our show’s intro that features the very creepy quote, “When he came over to me, dude, he slithered over to me.”

On Episode 50: Haunting Stories of Onset, Massachusetts, Tony’s old college buddy, Phill, joins The Confessionals to share haunting stories from his hometown of Onset, Massachusetts! Some of these eerie stories include a local haunted homes, a cryptid creature that terrorized a neighborhood, and a demonic possession that Phill saw manifest right in front of him!

A creepy account of the infamous Sasquatch “spider crawl” and other paranormal events.

In Episode 299: The Spider Crawl, we are joined by Cheyanne and Joanna. Cheyanne shares some significant paranormal experiences that both she and her family members have been through throughout her life. These experiences range from UFOs, to ghosts, to the “Black Nemesis.” Following Cheyanne's stories, her brother's fiancée Joanna joins us to describe her bigfoot experience in Washington state. While picking mushrooms, she saw a large creature that walked away from her in a bizarre manner - by dropping down to all fours and "spider walking," all while keeping its torso turned towards her! To Joanna, the creature did not seem like it was of this world, leaving her very confused by what she saw. Interesting to note is that Joanna’s bigfoot encounter is eerily similar to that of the experience of Wes Germer from 'Sasquatch Chronicles'.

The spellbinding story of ex-satanic high wizard’s journey into magic and a satanic coven.

Is magic something real or fantasy? If it were to be real, then what kind of person could have this mystical power? On Episode 61, we speak with Zachary King, who is a self-admitted ex-satanic high wizard. He comes forward to share his life story of how he became involved in magic at a very young age, and how it lead him to join a satanic coven. As he shares his life story he walks us into some truths that many would like to keep hidden. From magic to Bohemian Grove insider information, Zach spills a ton of information on tonight's show. And though there is so much information to take in, we are just scratching the surface of the things Zachary King knows and wants to share.

The OG show that remains our most popular episode!

On Episode 122, guest Charlie joins The Confessionals to share his incredible story of a secret military mission. Charlie is a former military serviceman who was selected for a secret mission that involved traveling into the wilderness, with 15 other team members, to retrieve a downed aircraft. Charlie’s orders were to extricate any available information from the target and then destroy what was left. Upon discovering the craft, it was instantly obvious that it was no ordinary plane - this aircraft looked like it was from another world. Once on board, Charlie came across unexpected and mind blowing things, including the Enochian language. And as it turns out, finding the aircraft in the wilderness was the easy part - getting back to safety and avoiding the time slips Charlie and his crew experienced are an entirely different story!
