Written Confession: Chrome Sky Sphere Sighted in Ohio

The following written confession was submitted via email:

In 1976 I was 14 years old and I started my first summer job […] in Avery Ohio pulling tassels off of corn. This particular field was right in front of NASA Neil Armstrong test [facility]. I was the first person to exit the field and when I did I noticed something just to my right and when I looked up there was what appeared to be a very large chrome ball approximately 40 ft in diameter hovering about 15 to 20 feet off the ground and about 50 ft away from me. It started to move out over the corn field towards the highway and didn’t make a sound. While this is happening I am frantically yelling at the other kids on the crew to hurry up and come out of the field to see this thing. By the time they came out it had flown out of sight. Suffices to say no one would believe me and I was the laughing stock for the rest of the day. But I have absolutely no doubt as to what I saw that day.
